Leaving Kansas City, Missouri, I ponder my future: My Son called and asked, "When are you coming home?" My Son lives in Cleveland, Mississippi. I was arrested on or about August 18, 2000, for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended operator's license. Now, I owe the bail bondsman $400.00, which I do not have! There is a warrant for my arrest for jumping bail, so I have been told. At the time of my arrest, the bond was $50.00; I had only ten. The bail bondsman lent me $40.00; otherwise, I would have had to spend time in jail. The car I was driving at the time belonged to a friend of mine. The towing company charged $70.00; my Brother helped me redeem my friend's car. The situation is a plight common in Cleveland, Mississippi. Nor is it black against white; it is a system that has gone out of control. I was told to pay the reinstatement fee before the court date. It was paid before the due date and yet there is a warrant for my arrest? I did not abuse my children and wife or rob a bank, what is my "Crime?"

Racial Profiling would not fit the profile for the conduct and attitude of the Judicial System in Cleveland, Mississippi. You pay the white man going to jail and pay the black man to get out! The buzzards/vultures are having a feeding frenzy on the Black Man, Hispanics and Poor Caucasians. (It is not racial, or is it?) The Wheels of Justice for blacks and others minorities in Mississippi have not yet been invented except to roll over them! Remember Emmett T, Medgar E, The Ghosts of Mississippi and many other unsolved/uninvestigated homicides in the Mississippi Delta!

My Son wants to see his Father. I want to see my Son. I am not afraid, but greatly concerned! I will see my Son before the weekend passes!

Disgruntled wants to know: NASCAR King - Dale Earnhardt's untimely demise has raised serious questions about death on our nation's highways from speeding and reckless driving, as well as the label of 'hero'. Some NASCAR fans and the media are calling Dale a hero for risking life and limbs driving faster cars. This does not compute, nor calling auto-racing a sport. After all, where can everyday people engage in the 'sport in imitation of their hero Dale? Where are the minor leagues for this sport? Trying to get good enough for NASCAR on American streets, roads and highways our children are dying. Speed is death; Dale is no hero. 

Disgruntled feels: If the aim is to teach that killing is socially unacceptable behavior, an evil, a bad thing, then the death penalty - capital punishment - goes about it all wrong. The lesson of the death penalty is killing is okay so long as the murderer is the state.

Disgruntled says: Another child stepped outside the "norm" to respond to bullies in a brutish social order. Did not Jesus Christ say, "the meek shall inherit the Earth?" This should be a wake up call for all those bullies that prey on the weak. Beware, someday soon, geeks and nerds may not turn the other cheek

T.H.I.N.C. (Teaching Humanity In New Consciousness): The Chrysalis of Evolution reflects the philosophical molting of Yohannes Sharriff Smith. Presented in poetic muse, T.H.I.N.C. is a way of life based on five psychological spheres or planes which, if followed, aligns one's spirit. Beginning the journey, the holistic student approaches life as a sphere of education where the ultimate questions are: "Who am I and why am I here?" Enigmatically, infinite possibilities make existence an evolutionary process where the individual is a work in progress (AWIP). This mind-set creates relational reverence through an environmental consciousness that manifests the soul's reciprocal love. Learning and living this philosophy is the portal to humanistic values and a moral life.

Today, it is clear one's sense of community is defined by their view of humanity. First, there are those who accept the soul as a given and feel it binds humanity in one family. Counter to this group are those who see life as a battle of the fittest in an "eat or be eaten world." They view some people as better than others and the betters are masters over everyone else. Both views are a natural psychological response to latent DNA influences. However, this does not presuppose a lack of choice over one's behavioral pattern. It simply means one has a predisposition that can and may influence one's behavior. An example is alcoholism as a fact of family history; one may become an alcoholic, but only if one consumes alcohol. These psychological perspectives come to us from our ancestors, depending on whether they were Homo sapiens or Neanderthals.

Implications for humanity are mind-boggling when one considers Neanderthal tendencies toward brutish, wanton violence, predatory pursuit and hierarchical social dominance. Philosophies such as eugenics, segregation, Nazism, apartheid and ethnic cleansing will remain real possibilities in a Neanderthal dominated world. T.H.I.N.C. offers humanity a philosophy based on Homo Sapiens' spiritual soul. George W. Bush, Jr.'s pledge to build a nuclear shield around America, like strictly constructing the Constitution, telegraphs his willingness to destroy the world, rather than allow humanity to become one. T.H.I.N.C. about it!

Saul is the archetype for the power of repentance, which opens one up to the humanistic influences of the soul. Compassion, exculpation and charity are Homo sapiens traits, which can override the Neanderthal tendency toward brutish, wanton violence and the lust for blood found in humans today. Some people are unaffected by the existence of these traits until they discover their humanity.

Carla Faye Tucker typified Saul on his road to becoming St. Paul. Both were murderers roaming the planet causing pain and destruction. Ruled by their animal blood lust, they yielded to instinctual Neanderthal cravings. Imprisoned in a hateful world of survival of the fittest, Carla had no concept of soul and its humanistic connection to others. Realizing her life could serve more than self-interest released Carla's spirit from darkness into a world of light and love. T.H.I.N.C., AWIP, holistic student or repented sinner, however one describes Carla Faye, as St. Paul, she came to view herself as a part of the human family, and dedicated herself to preserving it rather than destroying it.

Contrasting the lesson of Christ and the lives of Carla and George W. Bush, Jr., it is clear, he refused to accept the value and power of repentance on the soul, as he refused to commute her death sentence and end the death penalty. Like most descendants of Neanderthals, Bush is not guided by such humanistic values. He believes human traits are fixed, therefore, people cannot change. Bush's family supports eugenics and its master race heritage. His dedication to a nuclear shield shows he is committed to destroying the world, if his kind cannot control it. John 2001

The United States' Constitution is an economic document designed to protect America's aristocracy. While America is generally not viewed as an aristocracy, a description of the participants in the Constitutional Convention of 1787 suggests just the opposite.

In choosing a form of government, the founders did not trust the people to rule themselves. The US republic is the antithesis of democracy. Fact is, when it came to laying the groundwork of America, the founders, America's aristocracy and original linear secularists, did not trust democracy to preserve their advantage. Setting themselves up as superior, they established this nation on economic slavery.

C-Span aired the Congressional Black Caucus' hearing on election reform and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights' investigation of Florida's alleged voting rights violations during Election 2000.

These programs did not mention the fact that America is not a democracy; it is a 'republic.' The US founding fathers' distrust of common people led to the creation of the Electoral College, an institution established to select our leader based on the Three-fifths or Great Compromise, a doctrine for counting and valuing people differently. The nation fought a civil war to end the compromise. And, while passage of the 13^th, 14^th and 15^th Amendments to the Constitution was supposed to make every vote count, we still have the Electoral College.

Election 2000 showed how far removed from democracy this republic stands. Clearly, the 1965 Voting Rights Act, passed 100 years after the Civil War, did not bestow equal voting rights on blacks. Florida was a wake up call for blacks to deal with institutionalized racism.

The DISH encourages everyone to work for a repeal of the first law of America that gave us the Electoral College, because it negates one-person one-vote democracy. More hearings will only issue another report, and nothing will happen. If we do not repeal Article 1 Section 2, the U.S. will remain a slave republic. 

According to some citizens attending a town hall meeting seeking information about the March 20, 2001 Safe Parks Clean Water & Greenspace referendum, DeKalb CEO Vernon Jones has gotten ahead of himself. By addressing parks and recreation before dealing with runaway residential development in South DeKalb, even those supporting the measure felt he was putting the cart before the horse. A majority in attendance saw unrestricted home construction in South DeKalb County as a greater threat to their quality of life. For them, considering parks and recreation before examining the impact of overcrowding on existing services, such as schools, traffic and infrastructure, is premature.

Some in attendance thought it more prudent to prioritize citizen needs. They called for CEO Jones to conduct a county audit of existing revenues and outlays. Without such a review, citizens must continue to go on blind faith trusting what we are told. After "HOST," South DeKalb citizens demand firmer footing on which to stand before voting for additional revenue to buy land. Basing need assessments on such an audit, coupled with efficiency, may eliminate an increase at this time. Another favorable suggestion was to impose "impact fees" on residential developers to help offset the growing demand and cost of additional schools, parks and recreational services. Vote NO on the proposed tax on only unincorporated DeKalb County and help CEO Jones get his priorities in line with citizens' needs.

In the wake of another school shooting, I watched Revenge of the Nerds. Starring Robert Carradine and Anthony Edwards, the 1984 comedy is hilarious. Without spilling a drop of blood, social outcasts of Atoms' College get their revenge on the jocks and beautiful people who bully them. Atoms College is a microcosm of our society. I recommend the movie; it identifies the bullies and their hapless victims.

Beyond sad, a California kid shot his bullies. Andy, as he is called by friends and family, refused to "just take" the abuse heaped on him in a social order that preys on the 'weak' and/or 'different.' Though a target of well-documented abuse, few see Andy as a victim, because he stopped the bullying with a gun. He did not turn the other cheek. Now, Andy is a freak, because as a designated social victim, he stopped accepting abuse.

Everybody knew Andy was bullied. School administrators provided no protection. Bullying is a fact of life, a privilege freely exercised by those who see themselves as better than others. Some people get bullied; others do the bullying; it is the slave/master mentalities, which make up the social order. Those who are bullied are victims; they must accept abuse.

In Revenge of the Nerds, college freshmen used non-life-threatening tactics to end bullying. The meek inherited Atoms College. When society stops accepting bullying as the 'norm,' we can stop murder in the classroom. America is a hostile society; our children's actions reflect that fact of life. No one should be surprised a victim goes off programming and fight back with whatever weapon is available. Stop the bullying and end school killings. Then, the meek inherits the Earth.

Former Senator John Ashcroft (R-MO) swore before his attorney general confirmation hearing to ignore the hard-fought principles and beliefs of a lifetime. Is it any wonder that we hold public officials in such low esteem or high disdain? With enough votes to win confirmation going into the hearing with all the Republicans and a few Democrats, like Georgia's Sen. Zell Miller and Louisiana's John Breaux thrown in for good measure, why not just be honest? Ashcroft will push Bush's agenda, which cannot be more conservative; the president is a student of strict constriction, which see racial profiling as legal. Ashcroft would have looked better telling the truth about his KKK-John Rocker-type mindset, rather than lying to cover up for a lifetime of linear secularism.

This is the mindset that claims the Confederacy as an honorable heritage worth protecting; it is the mindset of the aristocracy, which established America. Understandably, Ashcroft is fuzzy on racial profiling. So, before the Justice Department ends it, he awaits the results of yet another study to prove its existence.

The numbers do not historically lie and they show blacks are treated disparately in American society. More important, our scientific research shows, the 3/5ths valuation assigned black human capital in the United States Constitution still controls for outcomes in America's marketplace for goods and services. On racial profiling, Ashcroft is waffling as he did in his Senate confirmation hearing. While humans are works in progress, Ashcroft's actions do not support an instantaneous metamorphosis that jives with his Senate confirmation testimony. Ashcroft supports white supremacy, linear secularism and a strict construction of the Constitution. To him, racial profiling is legal.

How do blacks overcome conditioned subordinate psychology (CSP), which is the slave mindset? While many blacks believe themselves to be rid of it, the black human condition is greatly influenced by a conditioned subordinate self-concept or psychology. Conditioned to narrowly define the world and our place in it, overcoming CSP - a process one psychologist erroneously termed 'grandiosity' - can be traumatic. It is 'the good' black awakening to the reality of his hostile environment and refusing to "just take it." Those who undergo it experience paradigm shifts and suffer from depression as a result of it; others become activists, and tragically some commit suicide, because they just cannot get over the paradox of a lifetime of lies. Like its psychological opposite, the slave master mindset, white supremacy or linear secularism, CSP is a narrow perspective - a handicapping condition.

This modern day Middle Passage, by-product of slave conditioning, must be overcome and moved beyond. Getting over it is not easy. Like the character Cypher in the movie The Matrix, most of us are so inured of the system that we smile and willingly die slaves, 'going along to get along.' Scripted to fail before we take the first breath, skin color is a heavy coat, which keeps blacks anchored to a condition defined as less. Weighed down to entry level, our best efforts, which surpass our betters, are never enough to escape the legal devaluation assigned to us at birth.

As one of the depressed, I believed the mind game run on blacks about America being a democracy and everybody being free and equal, no more slave-master-slave relationships crippling black economic development. I thought all you had to do was to get a good education, be a great worker, produce and you will be rewarded accordingly. Bull shit! The proof is in the numbers and in the living examples of the crushed horizons produced by American society. Institutionalized racism assures the American dream is a nightmare reality for those legally shackled by the Great Compromise. I am depressed because I believed the lies about America being a democracy where all people are free and equal. Is it any wonder that I am depressed? No, it is not!

To overcome my CSP, I am again seeking professional advice. The last two white professionals recommended sleeping pills and Zoloft as the solution to 400 years of depression. Their prescriptions did not fit my evolving self-concept. I have reason to be depressed. What sane person would not be a little put off by America's 'norm', which makes them a victim?

The Dark One -Batman/White Ninja Zorro protects the weak and helpless. Asked how he would handle a bully, the Dark One/Ninja/Zorro, said, "Knock his block off!"
