Cancer Cells
By Harold Pinter
"Cancer cells are those which have forgotten how
to die" - nurse, Royal Marsden hospital
They have forgotten how to die
And so extend their
killing life.
I and my tumor dearly fight.
Let's hope a double death is out.
I need to see my tumor dead
A tumor which forgets to die
But plans to murder
me instead.
But I remember how to die
Though all my witnesses are dead.
But I remember what they said
Of tumours which would render them
As blind and dumb as they had been
Before the birth of that disease
Which brought the
tumor into play.
The black cells will dry up and die
Or sing with joy and have their way.
They breed so quietly night and day,
You never know, they
never say.
The Secret
By Dot
Over the past week, I watched The
Secret. Yohannes, my son, who has viewed it, strongly recommended it; he felt
it would give me something positive to think about. With his enthusiastic
endorsement ringing in my ears, I watched the film with John not knowing what
to expect. Yohannes just said it was not a typical movie or your run of the
mill documentary. And, he was right about that!
The Secret tells the story of Rhonda Byrne's 2004 discovery of the secret laws
and principles of the universe. Byrne, a television producer, who had suffered
a series of traumatic personal and professional events, discovered these
secrets while reading Wallace D. Wattles' book The Science of Getting Rich
(1910). Byrne began an extensive search for more information. Through her
research, she learned it has existed throughout the history of humankind.
Her research showed the secret has been 'discovered, coveted, suppressed,
hidden, lost, and recovered. It has been hunted down, stolen, and bought for
vast sums. Fragments of it have been found in oral traditions, literature,
religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. A number of exceptional
men and women discovered it and went on to become known as the greatest people
who ever lived. These individuals include Plato, Leonardo, Galileo, Napoleon,
Hugo, Beethoven, Lincoln, Edison, Einstein and Carnegie.'
Armed with this knowledge, Bryne immediately began to apply what she read to
her daily life. She decided to make sharing what she had learned with the rest
of the world. To do this, she wrote a book and made the film, The Secret. Not
your conventional movie or documentary, The Secret is a docufilm, if there is
any such thing, which relies on testimonials by those who have successfully
applied the secret in their personal and professional lives; these include
writers, leaders, philosophers, doctors, and scientists.
The secret, which is based on the Law of Attraction, permeates every aspect of
our lives, according to its adherents and the teachers appearing in the film.
The film explains how anyone can use this law to create unlimited happiness,
love, health, and prosperity in their lives. Thus, it provides something
positive for one to think about.
Since its March 2006 release, millions have viewed The Secret film. With more
than six million copies in print, millions more have read the book. The film is
truly inspirational and I recommend it. To learn more about The Secret, visit www.thesecret.tv.
Otto Heinrich Warburg (1883-1970)
The son of physicist Emil Warburg, President of the Physikalische Reichsanstalt
Wirklicher Geheimer Oberregierungsrat, Otto Heinrich Warburg was born on
October 8, 1883 in Freiburg. He studied chemistry under Emil Fischer, earning
his doctorate's degree in chemistry in 1906.
From 1908 and 1914, Otto was affiliated with the Naples Marine Biological
Station, also known as the Stazione Zoologica, in Naples, Italy, where he did
research on oxygen consumption in sea urchin eggs after fertilization. His
research proved that upon fertilization, the rate of respiration increases by
as much as six-fold. His experiments also proved that iron is essential for the
development of the larval stage. After studying under Ludolf von Krehl, Warburg
obtained his doctor of medicine in 1911.
During WWI, Warburg served in the Prussian Horse Guards. A lifelong equestrian,
Warburg won the Iron Cross as an officer in the elite Uhlans (cavalry) for his
service on the front during the war. In 1918, he was appointed Professor at the
Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Biology, Berlin-Dahlem. He became Director of the
Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Cell Physiology in 1931.
He investigated the metabolism of tumors and respiration of cells, especially
cancer cells. In 1931, Warburg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or
Medicine for his "discovery of the nature and mode of action of the
respiratory enzyme."
In 1944, Warburg was nominated again for the Nobel Prize in Physiology or
Medicine by Albert Szent-Györgyi, for his work on nicotinic acid amide and
the discovery of flavine (in yellow enzymes). It is rumored and reported by
some sources that he was selected for a second Nobel Prize in Physiology or
Medicine in 1944 but was not allowed to accept the Prize due to the policies of
the German government of the time. According to the Nobel Foundation, this
rumor is not true; although he was considered a worthy candidate, he was not
selected for the prize.
Three scientists who worked in Warburg's lab, including Sir Hans Adolf Krebs,
went on to win the Nobel Prize. Among other discoveries, Krebs is credited with
the identification of the citric acid cycle (or Krebs cycle).
In 1924, Warburg hypothesized that cancer, malignant growth, and tumor growth
are caused by the fact that tumor cells mainly generate energy by non-oxidative
breakdown of glucose. According to Warburg, "Cancer, above all other
diseases, has countless secondary causes. But, even for cancer, there is only
one prime cause. Summarized in a few words, the prime cause of cancer is the
replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation
of sugar."
Warburg edited and has much of his original work published in The Metabolism of
Tumours (1931) and New Methods of Cell Physiology (1962). In addition to many
minor works, Warburg is the author of Stoffwechsel der Tumoren (1926),
Katalytische Wirkungen der lebendigen Substanz (1928), Schwermetalle als
Wirkungsgruppen von Fermenten (1946), Wasserstoffübertragende Fermente
(1948), Mechanism of Photosynthesis (1951), and Entstehung der Krebszellen
(1955).
Oxford University awarded Warburg an honorary doctorate. He was awarded the
Order Pour le Mérite (1952). Warburg died on August 1, 1970 in Berlin,
Germany. (Sources: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/

Consumer Health Alert
On Thursday, The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulators issued a public
health alert for about 14,800 pounds of missing ground beef products that may
be contaminated with the potentially deadly E. coli bacteria.
According to the statement issued
by the USDA, a trailer containing the ground beef was reported stolen by Texas
American Food Service Corporation. The Fort Worth, Texas-based firm does
business as American Fresh Foods. The consumer health alert covers ground beef
products packaged for consumer use carrying the establishment number "EST.
13116" on the package labels. Bulk products carry labels bearing the
establishment number "EST. 13116." The ground beef was produced on
December 19.
E. coli 0157:H7 is the strain associated with the alert. Symptoms of illness from this strain
include potentially severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and dehydration. Children,
the elderly and people with poor immune systems are most vulnerable.
Cancer Ignorance
By Drs. Carol and William Kelley
We are all ignorant - on different subjects. We all remain ignorant until we
can accept the facts. Most of us choose to remain ignorant - it's stylish. All
of us doctors choose to remain ignorant - it's most profitable. Over the past
several years, being plunged into this cancer zoo, it has come to our
consciousness that patients (i.e., cancer victims) are more intelligent than we
doctors.
There is not one doctor in the world today who treats cancer. First of all, it
takes common sense. Second, it is against the law - against the E
establishment's wishes. Third, most doctors do not know what cancer is and
deliberately, with malice aforethought, choose to remain ignorant on the
subject. Fourth, it is impossible for a doctor to treat your cancer - only you can treat your cancer.
What is Cancer? Without question, cancer is one of the simplest disease
processes to properly treat. Cancer's simplicity is the cloak it hides under -
right out in plain sight. You certainly do not need a college degree to figure
that out - just a little common sense. We have been deceived by the dishonest
medical establishment - con-artistry at its finest! All the white coats with
stethoscopes hanging around their necks hide behind surgical masks with MRI
scans and laboratory reports in hand that are nothing more than theatrical
props. We are the entertainment-crazed generation - paying our all for it and
we love it so.
Some of us become disillusioned
and bored with the prim and proper orthodox theatre then run as fast as we can
and pay the remaining few breaths we own to the vulgar, tell it like it is,
alternative theatre.
Some of you (very, very few) may discern what cancer is, and is not, and will
live a long and healthy life; at age 95 succumbing to gunshot wounds inflicted
by a jealous lover. That is our wish for all of you.
What Cancer is Not. Cancer is not those
lumps and bumps that we have been so programmed to fear and freak out over if
we find one on our body. Cancer is not a malignant tumor mass, which doctors,
in their cancer ignorance, erroneously call cancer. This is one of the reasons
we have so much "cancer". The physician does not know what cancer is.
How could he properly treat it? Physicians, orthodox and alternative, know how
to mistreat malignant tumor masses and blood and lymph abnormalities which is
not even cancer.
What Cancer Is. Cancer is a process - not an object. Daily, everyone produces
malignant tumor cells and daily, most everyone's pancreas produces adequate
pancreatin to digest the food they eat and the normally-developing malignant
cells. It is when one's pancreas fails to produce the necessary pancreatin to
accomplish these tasks that a disease process
takes place which we correctly call cancer.
When this disease process occurs, one is not aware of it. It is so subtle it
must progress for 2 to 4 years before one or one's physician realizes he or she
is in trouble. At first, the things one often complains about to his or her
physician during this time are indigestion and weight loss. Then, a few months
later, excessive weight gain, eye trouble and often pyorrhea. Eventually, a large
enough malignant tumor mass, which is the object
the cancer victim and/or the physician sees and who, in error, calls cancer, forms.
The malignant tumor masses are not cancer but malignant tumor masses. The
disease process, the failure of one's pancreas,
we correctly call cancer.
The object of Metabolic Medicine's Cancer
Cure Program is to supply the body with adequate pancreatin to
properly digest food, stop this disease process,
and rid the body of any and all malignant tumor cells. This is the proper,
normal, physiological method of taking care of the disease process we correctly
call cancer.

Disgruntled feels: Optimistic!
As 2007 rapidly closes, thoughts of the coming year flood my mental. Hopes and
aspirations for the future wash away the mountain of complaints piled up by all
the negative events that transpired in 2007. Come December 2008, George W.
Bush's second and final term in office will end. A lame duck in 2008, his
ability to create more chaos and engender more hate should be vastly limited.
If history holds true, his lame duck status means he will be unable to open any
new fronts in his war on terror. Should that be the case, there is reason for
hope after all. And, for that, one must be optimistic about 2008!
Disgruntled
wants to know: Following a political rally in Rawalpindi, the home front
of General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan's dictator president, Benazir Bhutto was
assassinated. Within days of her death, the Pakistani government, which failed
to provide her with adequate security to protect her life, attributed her
demise to various causes, including bullets from an AK-47, shrapnel from the
suicide bomb and a blow to the head. Just as quickly, Islamic terrorists,
al-Qaeda and the Taliban were accused of the assassination. Since Bhutto was
opposed to Pakistani President Musharraf and his ant-democratic tactics, will
he be accused or otherwise implicated in her murder much like Syria's President
Bashar al-Assad is implicated by the US, Israel and others in the assassination
of every anti-Syrian politician in Lebanon?
Disgruntled
says: In 2006, Muhammad Yunus and his Grameen Bank were awarded the
Nobel Peace Prize for fighting poverty by extending micro-loans to millions of
Bangladeshis. The aim of these micro-loans is to help lift people out of
poverty. At the other end of the micro-loan spectrum are financial institutions
that prey on the poor and turn sizeable profits by charging exorbitant rates of
interest, often in excess of one-hundred percent. Some of the world's biggest
financial institutions, including Citigroup, HSBC Holdings and Zurich Financial
Services, banking newcomer Wal-Mart and less well-known local lending firms are
making fortunes in Third World nations by trapping the already poor in a
vicious cycle of debt. Given these financial institutions have made and
continue to make huge profits, often at the expense of the poor and ignorant,
why should governments, which are supposed to represent the people, bail out
these predators when their investments turn sour?

members of the House Judiciary Committee, we strongly believe these important

credible allegations of abuse of power that, if proven, may well constitute
high crimes and misdemeanors under the Constitution. The allegations against

revelation of the identity of a covert agent for political retaliation, and the
illegal wiretapping of American citizens."
